I'm not seeing a lot of starving children in the US right now, even during the darkest days of the Bush administration<G>. Homeless perhaps but not starving. Quite the opposite with childhood obesity rates soaring.<<

I was using starving children as a metaphor for making sure the children are OK during these hard times. Pointing out the #1 priority. That we do not lose sight of our humanity toward them; and not letting economic philosophy interfer with that objective.

And if we have a double dip recession and it collapses into a full blown depression, then you might see some starving children.
