Happy Independence Day, Dealer.

The gentleman in the video had a very nice voice. And the other gentleman on the stage was advocating an unConstitutional sentiment. I'm certainly not a Constitutional purist, but there are very good and very important reasons we as an intelligent nation embrace the separation of church and state.

Personally, I'm offended and scared by those who suggest we should have a closer relationship between the US Government and Christianity. (What if united with some religion that didn't happen to be yours?)

I think it is important that we remain Independent and American, unified by our Patriotism as we embrace and tolerate all peoples, all faiths, all ethnicities, all races, all sexual preferences, all religions and all the diversity and acceptance that makes America great.

Happy Independence Day to ALL AMERICANS !

When some uneducated idiot stands on a stage and talks about the Great United States of America being founded as a Christian nation it might be wise to consult the words of Thomas Jefferson - the guy who wrote the Declaration of Independence:

"The establishment of the innocent and genuine character of this benevolent moralist (Jesus), and the rescuing it from the imputation of imposture which has resulted from artificial systems [E.g., The immaculate conception of Jesus, his deification, his miraculous powers, his resurrection and visible ascension, his corporeal presence in the Eucharist and the Trinity, etc.] invented by ultra-Christian sects, unauthorized by a single word ever uttered by him..."

Or how about the Treaty of Tripoli in 1797 which included, in part, the following statement: the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.

Please tell the ignorant, unAmerican, Tea Baggers to do a little research before taking to the stage and spreading ugly lies.

We've got enough fireworks without manufacturing falsehoods!

Hi Dealer! Great clip. Thanks.

Happy 4th! We are having our traditional big get-together. Just at some barbeque and the young adults and their homies are back in the pool. Don't know how they stay in that thing hour after hour. (g)
