Thanks for the analogy Nemer. Didn't realize Father Time was such a Wise Man :-)

INDEX UPDATE
----------------------------------

In light of all the bad news that hit the market today, the support lines I mentioned in my earlier notes of 7575 and 7510 held up on a closing basis.

I try to keep the subjective out of my analysis but there was so much bad news and the market still did relatively well:
1) INCREASED TENSION IN IRAQ
2) SELL-OFF IN ASIA
3) SELL-OFF IN EUROPE
4) SELL-OFF IN LATIN AMERICA
5) 2 BAD ECONOMIC REPORTS
6) WDC ANNOUNCEMENT OF MISSING NUMBERS DRAMATICALLY
7) FAST TRACK BILL STALLING

Did I miss anything??? Granted that I do not feel all of those mentioned are really viable, but nevertheless they were made apparent by the media.

Before the open today I had my doubts that the support line I established at 7510 would hold, and actually the higher support line at 7575 held.

Enough with the subjective.

All my data is not yet updated, however I approximate that the SHORT-TERM technicals for the overall market is now in the mid-range with the obvious bias to the downside.

Please keep in mind, as I stated many times before, that when the technicals are in the mid-range it can go either way easily, and the direction of the bias really does not mean that much.

The upside potential, per the mid-term technicals, are still plentiful.

In light of my technical analysis I am now getting mostly mixed signals as for the immediate (1-3 days) future; therefore I cannot pick the direction at this point.

Anyone want to guess if the support lines of 7575 & 7510 will hold. I sure dont know right now.

I just heard on CNBC that there were 12 sell programs and 11 buy programs. I can only assume from such that there are also many who are also not sure.

Hope I get some response to my inquiry!
