Re: Long term future for Israel.

Some possibilities for a positive outcome -

1) Any effective replacement for Mideast oil (Brazilian and West African oil, nuclear, solar, electric cars) could serious reduce the threat by reducing funding of the oil states.

2) The second way would be a big shooting war between/among the Arabs / Iranians / Turks. That would buy time for 1) to occur.

3) Effective Russian alliance with Israel vs. all the states they both have problems with. Many Russians in Israel.

4) Much of the non-muslim world gets sufficiently provoked that they collectively move to a cold to warm war against the aggressive states. I expect Indonesia, Malaysia, Morroco, Algeria and some others will not be targets, but the core states.
This is already occurring with the Somali pirates.
A few more Taj hotel incidents could trigger this.

5) Way outside chance - Some kind of cultural event that changes Islam and or Arab nationalism.

Geert Wilders sees Israel as the front line of the West.

Scroll down a little to the speech at the Four Seasons.

The conflict area is blown out of proportion soon to be cut to its natural proportions.

Once there is no more money to buy good behavior.
Egypt is kept behaving well because well paid.

Once allies are no longer needed they become expendable and regions deemed strategic become just back waters.
First South Africa apartheid regime Cape of Good Hope. Suharto Malacca Strait.

It is not only diaper deflation Mr. TJ. Is geography of trade that is changing dramatically.

Little unperceived actions:

Dubai and Johanesburg are taking the gravity center from Europe.

All because Europe kept taking baby bottles and shampoos and asked for transit visas.

Scramble for resources in the God Forsaken country force money into those countries, they progress and things start changing there ans purchase power is created out of nothing.

Europe is going to be a total different landscape in a mere 5 years.

<<BTW, do you have a guess as to why Maurice MQ did not sell QCOM and buy Gold?>>

Perhaps he knew better? Anyway that's my excuse.
