Procom Sets New Standard For Entry Level CD-ROM Networking
Systems

Procom Introduces DataFORCE(TM) 100, The World's First 53x Entry Level Network Attached
Storage Device (NASD)

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Procom Technology (Nasdaq:PRCM) today released DataFORCE(TM) 100, the
world's leading cost/performance CD-ROM networking system offering up to 10 CDs running at a 53X data transfer rate and
embedded cross-platform software. DataFORCE 100 offers leading edge CD-ROM networking technology at an entry level
price below $4,500 MSRP.

''We have overcome the limitations of CD-ROM technology for affordable entry level CD-ROM networking systems and
DataFORCE is the result,'' said Page Tagizad, Procom's Director of Product Management. ''We're positioning DataFORCE
as an alternative to smaller and slower 7-disc 24X entry level CD Towers. It is ideal for users in departments, schools, libraries
and government agencies to share CDs on their networks, even in mixed platform environments. DataFORCE is also the
industry's first entry level product suitable for education multimedia applications and corporate training, accommodating video,
sound and animation.''

DataFORCE 100 is a 10-disc entry level system compatible with NT, NetWare and OS/2 networks as well as IPX and
TCP/IP protocols. DataFORCE 100 is the first in a series of entry level networking products being offered with Procom's
award winning CD FORCE(R) software.

CD FORCE(R) Software

CD FORCE(R) when used in conjunction with Procom's integrated networking solutions, provides multiple administrators with
unparalleled flexibility in distribution CD-ROM based data. CD FORCE includes the support of Windows NT domain
functions, multiple topologies and multiple network cards, Procom's application launcher (Network Pilot) and enhanced
administration including maintenance, management and error handling.

DataFORCE 100 networks up to 10 CD-ROMs which are migrated to a fast hard drive. Once data is transferred to the hard
drive, the data is then served from the hard drive directly to the client at 53X performance with an 11 millisecond seek time.
Simultaneous reading from the 10 CDs is allowed.

That's an interesting viewpoint. I might consider tendering shares for a reasonable offer in the 30's. I'll believe it when I see it. For now, I'm holding on.
