I fail to see the fundamentals behind the so called/alledged bad news surrounding the industry! In a world where everything is going toward networking how can possibly be bad news! The computing model is changing (thanks to Java and Sun Microsystems thin client client/server centric computing model). Technology is the key here which will result in more productivity (offseting inflation). And networking is the core fundamental behind it! You state: >Not a pretty picture.
