As a decent person, I'll gladly support extending unemployment benefits.

As soon as we put a requirement on these people that they show up and WORK for the money they're receiving.

They can pick up paper on highways. They can read water meters. There are state parks closing all over the country because states cannot afford the upkeep. They can work as aids in the schools. I can list 500 jobs they can do.

I don't care if it is an hour a day or 10 hours a week. Or whatever. But they damned well ought to have to show up to receive the handout, and they ought to be doing community service or something to earn it.

There's an issue of how to pay for those benefits ...... but that isn't something Democrats worry about .....
