There's nothing "stimulating" about maintaining some level of consumer spending by just handing out free money. Which is essentially what unemployment checks are.

Besides, trying to preserve the status quo is exactly my point. We're just delaying the inevitable. What's the point of that, other than to create a softer landing?

Face it, SilentZ. The only institution that is being "stimulated" is big government. But that's exactly what you think is necessary for sustainable economic growth. Cause it worked so well for Europe ...

Z, the problem is that you are arguing with someone who doesn't really understand economics. Just talking points for supply siders. So economics boils down to "build it and they will come"...
