If we don't find a way as a nation united to create jobs again (perhaps not encouraging the sending of so many jobs overseas again through our tax codes...), and to REGROW our shrinking Middle Class, (traditionally since WW II the backbone of the "American Miracle") then we will be finished as a world-leading nation. The way that we have allowed ourselves to backslide on wealth disparities (advancing policies that decimateed the Middle Class) --- so that we are right now about the same on that measure as we were back in 1932 during the depths of the Great Depression --- with the top 1% of our population owning nearly exactly the same amount of total wealth as the remaining 99% of the entire American population put together, is NOT the right way to go. A hollowed-out and flaying Middle Class like that is a recipe for second class nations....
