i disagree- but i have not lost 111k either-
if the man has enough equity- writing the calls are safer at these levels than buying puts- if he has to add to margin then so be it-
if not then he should either hold for the next year or dump his loss-
entirely up to his pocketbook-
i wouldn't dump a loss unless i see something better to do with my money-
lost 2k in twa during crash- dumped for earnings uncertainty but had other stock to trade that gave me back 2200- twa recovered immediately but i was happy to cut and run into something else-
90% cash and waiting- and very happy i sold off my position yest for a 3/16 gain-
at least i got comm and a few pennies-
