in your post to longnshort you said "Frankly having a company like GS wielding political power far away disproportionately to one man one vote" GS should wield zero political power. it has to corrupt government in order to wield any political power. but we already have laws on the books to punish this behavior and we need to enforce them. if people were educated on the issues they wouldn't be as susceptible to be swayed by advertising. GS could spend money getting their message out until they went broke, and it wouldn't make a difference. so we, as a nation, need to educate ourselves. and we need to see the difference between education and indoctrination.
