dougjn,
Why the certainty about not meeting already deflated expectations? Whatever else, and I'm certainly not overjoyed with the last two weeks, sudden surprises has not been their MO in the past.

In a way I hope your right. As a long term hold Iwon't be selling for a few years any way, so I'll add to my position. You seem to have a good feel for how they're doing, so I'm most anxious to understand your reasoning. Many Thanks, Bill

Dougin:

It's quite possible the other shoe has not fallen.

With all this damage we will not see a rebound in stock price until we get positive news. The quarterly report and conference call will be very critical and thats a looooong way away. Probably over a month away, thats a long time to wait and wonder.

So we are going to go lower. We need a selling climax on reliable news...no bottom seen yet.

Cisco is eating everybodys lunch now. I believe they are hurting 3Com less than the others and I believe COMS and CSCO can co-exsist.

I understand the technology and management styles of the companys and still believe strongly that COMS and CSCO will survive....The others will not!

You have to be a long term investor here to profit! Speculators or Day traders will be hurt bad in this current market environment.

Above all, be patient!

Eric

<I look for 31-32. Just wait until Coms preannounces will signif. miss analysts expectations for Nov. quarter. Which I am all but certain they will do. > Dougin, fella's like yourself come and go, so I suggest you get a full time job with the psychic network hotline.

COMS, IMHO has strong support at 36 so why worry about it now? Take your lumps for a few more points and then enjoy the ride back up.

If I am wrong about 36, the next stop might even be zero, at which point many will board this train!

Relax long term players, we have a winner on our hands.
