So it's ok with you if Soros, Gates, Buffet can buy legislative votes but a group of people not as rich as them can't pool their monies to buy those Legis. votes ??

Nope did not say that at all.. I said I don't care if Gates advertises his views all over the airwaves... it's his dough... Just like the sign going up on my lawn for the next mayoral campaign in Toronto... Too bad my resources are not equal to his :O)

I get your point though.. The difference I see is that 'campaign' contributions can be diverted for personal profit.. which is not the same as someone independently blowing advertising dough to promote his own views...
