What do people think about this product...
Seems like Accent is more than just a one-trick pony. Is it just a matter of time before it catches the market's eye, or are there troubles I don't see.

Stop Wasting Internet Time, Use Rapid Web Automation

NEW YORK, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- AgentSoft Ltd., a subsidiary of Accent Software International (Nasdaq: ACNTF and ACNUF), today announced their newest product, LiveAgent(TM) Pro, an application tool that enables Internet/Intranet users to rapidly automate information extraction activities performed on the web, has been designated 100% Pure Java(TM) by Sun Microsystems, Inc. LiveAgent Pro's automation process is based on AgentSoft's leading intelligent agent technology developed in Java.

"We are very excited to have Sun Microsystems, Inc. designate LiveAgent Pro as 100% Pure Java. AgentSoft automates the Internet, and LiveAgent Pro is the fastest and easiest tool to create automation routines using intelligent agents," stated Todd Oseth, CEO of AgentSoft. "LiveAgent Pro is a set of tools for recording, customizing, and replaying client-side, Web-browsing agents. These tools include a stand-alone HTTP proxy, implemented in Java, and a set of scripts, applets, and supplementary Java classes. The ease of development combined with our service gives our customers a total solution for extracting data from the Internet and creating information for their use, " added Oseth.

LiveAgent Pro sells for $199 and will include a number of predefined automation routines. To help with complex automation routines, AgentSoft is offering services to clients needing customized agent development for IT solutions. AgentSoft will be demonstrating LiveAgent Pro at Fall Internet World, December 10-12, in the Java Pavilion, Booth 321, Station 20. LiveAgent Pro will also be available from a number of electronic warehouses.

LiveAgent Pro uses a simple record/replay paradigm for creating automation routines and then allows users to set variables for decisions or branching to be performed. The record/replay environment produces a Java program that can easily be integrated with existing Java Integrated Development Environments, including Java classes and templates. Each of the automation routines is based on an intelligent agent that performs activities just as if a person was working through a browser. Agents are capable of full interaction with HTML pages as they navigate the internet/intranet (typing into forms, clicking on buttons, selecting from list boxes, engaging search engines, etc.). Automation routines can specify which HTML pages, or parts of pages, the agent should bring back to the user, and how data should be integrated, processed, and developed into information for the user.

LiveAgent Pro's highly modular architecture allows for easy extension by Java developers. By simply adding their own classes, developers can customize agents or supplement the HTTP proxy's filtering capabilities to provide other value-added management of Web-browsing activity. LiveAgent Pro agents can be called from other programming languages.

AgentSoft's LiveAgent Pro has the following features:

-- all agents are created in Java and JavaScript, ready to run;

-- direct creation of agents, trained through a browsing session;

-- full recording of browsing activity: typing, clicking, choosing items;

-- inclusion of changeable values (variables) in the agents;

-- multi-step agents (moving from page to page, gathering data);

-- ability to build agents with conditional branching and looping

capabilities;

-- ability to insert or edit branches in previously recorded agents;

-- ability for agents to recover from failed branches;

-- ability for agents to create reports of browsing activity (saving pages

or parts of pages to user's disk, along with post processing

capabilities);

-- implementation of composite agents (parallel invocation of a group of

agents).
