What cures an economic depression is factories filing for bankruptcy and investors taking their losses.

Blowing up the factories outside the U.S. merely channeled the new prosperity to America where the factories remained standing.

"What cured deflation ultimately was blowing up factories in the cities of Germany, France, Great Britain and to some extent Russia. I'm not sure we're going there again, but who knows?"
