Now the first two can be argued over, but exactly how do estate taxes kill the middle class?

Because small businesses get sold to meet the taxes and the employees get the boot. It destroys middle class jobs and tax revenue - the engine of our economy.

It's targeted at the middle class. The wealthy have their assets in trusts and other instruments that shield them from taxation.
