Anybody that some county mounty wants to hassle can be asked for papers. Oh, you mean just like article 81 under Mexican law? That's how they take care of their southern border. The Mexican government is just as much a bunch of hipocrits as ours. And I live in Mexico.

"You can't tell an illegal by looking." I believe I would have a high accuracy rate. The one's I was wrong on would be very recent, un-assimilated citizens. That's not to say cops will not abuse this power.

BTW, immigration law requires lawful non-citizen immigrants to "carry their papers" (i.e, green card) at all times. No biggie for them, only to those who'd flaunt the law and abuse the system. Let alone what Mexico requires from non-resident visitors in their own country (the bunch of flaming hypocrites).
