p,
Re -- AMD's loss so far...

My mistake. I had 31c loss in mind for q3.

Re -- Jerry did not predict an AMD loss, he said, "that it might not turn a profit for the period."

He also said that in order to break even they had to produce 2M K6, and that wasn't going to happen.
So "might not turn a profit" and " Not breakeven" What do you think?

Re -- MS is predicting a loss of 9 cents.

This is too conservative. the SEC and morgan stanley should look into this Bozo, who has been consistently wrong, jilting old ladies out of their retirement income.

Join the church of Intel, p. In the long run you will be rewarded. Atiq Raza did the right thing. What purpose does it serve to drown with a sinking ship. Live to fight another day!!

Bryant (of Intel) also said the company's October sales proved to be slightly up from previous months.

I should have read this comments earlier. What Bryant meant is that Intel had a lousy sales in Oct97 if comparing to Oct/96.
