No.

The capital injections were made by buying senior preferred stock (and getting warrants for future purchase of common shares).

The preferred stocks paid fairly high dividend yields (and the banks are/were pretty eager to buy *those* back <g>) and the warrants are sold back or else auctioned.

That's where the profits came in....
