Tejek, I think you are misunderstanding me. I am a hard core liberal/progressive. It is a philosophy that goes back to the beginning of time.

Liberals are a rare breed. Whatever liberals are, and however they come to be, they all believe two things. The validity of reason and the importance of compassion, and are directed in their beliefes and behavior by those two things and will never capitulate to any philosphy that says differently e.g. Greed is good, or forget the poor.

Reason and compassion.

And the liberal philosophy takes precedent over politics, party and personalities. Our liberal philosophy always comes first.

And since time began the liberals have been in the minority. Think about it, not one conservative or despotic country likes liberals.

For most of history, liberals could not even raise their voice for fear of death.

We liberals protect our philosphy. We must never let any party or personality interfear with our basic beliefs in reason and humanity.

>>Not really. He has some pretty strong conservative leanings. For an example, he's a strong gun advocate. He is forever encouraging me to buy a gun.<<

Are you sure you're a liberal? Just askin'.<<

Well, then I take exception to that, but he seems liberal.
