Rush didn't say McNabb was celebrated because he was black. He said journalists overrated him because he was black. Explain the difference.

He was only refering to journalists, to say they are celebrated would include fans not just journalists.

And, yes, it is a racist statement if he is saying all journalists are racists.

It's not a racist statement because he saw no problem with journalists doing this. The sentance was taken totally out of context.

The question remains, why don't we see more blacks in high paying jobs if it is "so easy" for them?

We do see them in high paying jobs! Even the POTUS. Have you not noticed? But the reference is to lower paying jobs, not CEO's.

<Racism has declined. But not enough.>

Which is why affirmative action must go. I creates racial tensions and many blacks have proved that a black man is just as capable.

>>Rand Paul still wants to allow proprietors to keep blacks out of restaurants.<<

that's dishonest Knighty.

rand doesn't want the federal government involved in telling private citizens what to do on their private property.

he doesn't want the federal government telling the black panthers to let white people in - that doesn't mean he hates white people, does it?

rand might even support state government passing anti-discrimination laws.

UNITED STATES of america.

not FEDERAL STATES of america.

btw, i disagree with him (i have no problem with the federal government mandating racial fairness for businesses open to the public), but i don't feel the need to be dishonest about it and paint him as having that belief because he doesn't like black people.

he doesn't like a big, centralized government - you know the one that has killed MILLIONS OF BROWN PEOPLE. and that's just our government...

...and is transferring trillions of wealth from the poor and middle class to the ruling elite billionaires.

i'm sure you can make the distinction.
