<<If they say the outlook is flat then why should it go up ?>>

If the outlook is flat, then why has Intel lost 25% off its highs? Your logic is flawed. Seems to me Intel is just cruising along, pumping out $6 billion worth of chips every 90 days. That is $67 Million per day, including Saturday and Sunday!

PS--It takes Intel 1« days to sell the amount Cyrix sells in 90 days.
PSS--It takes Intel 9 days to sell the amount AMD sells in 90 days.

James, I believe that the bad news is factored into INTC stock price and more so when it trades in the low $70's.
Bad news now (if any at all) will not do much harm now to the stock price since it is way of its highs. Good news if anything will bring the players back in and prop this stock back above the $80's.
I also think the Santa Claus and New Years rally will push this stock back above the mid-80's level and who knows...maybe even scrape the $90 mark.....just maybe.

I am bullish on this stock. Still bearish on MSFT though until it breaks the $100 barrier.
