Not very. I think this is just one more tool in the toolkit. But when you look at all the data available including bond yields, ECRI index levels, housing metrics, employment metrics, gov't financials, etc etc etc, there's not much to cheer about. The evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of a continuing stagnation of our economy, despite all the propaganda in the media and our government to the contrary.

Nothing has been fixed. Only the free markets will wring out these excesses and that will happen faster if the gov't steps away and lets it happen. Or it can grind on for years if the gov't continues to intervene.
