Smirking Bobby Gibbs disrespecting a reporter with a legitimate question (and the reporter's "colleagues" laugh)

A lot of reporters must be seething (it's obvious that Jake Tapper has been seething for some time). But until now, the press herd has stayed loyal to the Obama administration.

I think the most important op-ed this week is by Lloyd Grove, who covers the Aspen Ideas Festival (=think-tank schmooze conference):

The Elite Turn on Obama
- Lloyd Grove, The Daily Beast
thedailybeast.com

Grove points out that Obama is now being criticized even by former supporters on the left.

Reporters are not deep or original thinkers. They look to (Dem) party talking points as one source. But they also look to self-appointed public intellectuals, usually from CFR or Brookings or some of the more progressive think-tanks. When the think-tanks turn on Obama as a failure, which they are, it gives the reporters 'permission' to turn on him too.

Nobody ever went broke quoting Leslie Gelb or Fareed Zakaria.
