Hi Steve,

I have to agree with you. I use to do the Tack ministry. I find it to
be very effective if you use it properly.

Ron

Morning Steve,

I have also done the tract ministry years ago. Before I went in the
service. The only point I was trying to make is that folks quote scripture
out of context to fit there point of view when in fact it has nothing to do with
the relivence of the situation.

To give you an example: I have contractors that quote me the specs.
(construction bible) one sentence without reading the rest of the paragraph.
They base there claims on not doing it or being paid to do it because of
that one sentence. They justify everything that they do or say on that
one sentence that pertains to whatever they are doing in that area. Only
to find out that when I point out to them that they must read the whole
paragraph I own them nothing but in fact they owe me. Scripture is fine
to quote as long as it is in context to all that is happening at the moment.
One must read the whole chapter to understand what that one sentance means.
That is why I get defensive about folks that quote scripture.

I qoute scripture to myself and my sons all the time but I always include
what lead up to that verse. Not the verse without explaining it.
ex. Ask and it shall be give to you.
Seek and yea shall find.
Knock and the door will be open.
Ask it of me through the Father God, ect. ect. ect.
Don't cast peal before swines.
Most folks quote scripture to reinforce their point not Gods or Jesus's.
Folks want to save the world and humanity the way they see it not the way
the Holy ones see it.

Another example, folks want to quote Psalms as scripture and use it to
make a point. Psalms is not scripture but one mans reflections that has
been included in the Bible to convey a thought. A relationship, a response/
reaction to something that is happening in his life. But yet folks want to
quote it as the gosple.

The true gosple can be summed up in the NT in the words that Jesus spoke
and the OT that Moses and a few selected wrote down that God spoke to and
told them to write down.;-)

Now of course this is just my opinion so therefore it is subject to whatever?

I do agree with your last sentence. I agree with your preception as far as
being directed through the word, whether it be through an impulse or a
calculated move but it still doesn't remedy or disqualify it in what I am
saying. When one quotes scripture one must be careful. Once one utters those
words that are truely scripture it must be in the purest of contexts not a
self motivated move to try and prove ones point. I know. I paid the price for
making that mistake.;-)

Have a good day,

Ron
