Now you're talking. It is true that businesses like economic certainty. Unfortunately, uncertainty and risks are sky high right now. Thus, the declining economy and volatile markets.

I think the biggest thread to our economy, though, is neither the Dems nor the GOP. It is Bernanke. He has pulled out all the stops to prop up these banks and assumed much of their toxic assets. That is the real boot on the neck of our economy.

If I were king, I'd fire Bernanke today and replace him with a pragmatist with real business experience and a deep faith in free markets. Then I'd let the chips fall where they may.

So at this point, Congress and both political parties are irrelevant. Bernanke is the only relevant person and he needs to be removed post haste.
