He should have focused on that. It was fresh in peoples minds. He could have pounded on the right wing and spent trillions on jobs creation. This is nuts. Now you are trying to rewrite history. He did focus on the economy and jobs, and conservatives and blue dog dems fought him every inch/dollar of the way. He barely got his stimulus bill and tarp amendments through Congress.Instead he got sidetracked on health care which was not as pressing an issue and it took peoples attention off the disaster Bush had created. Worse he pandered to the right wing to get the votes and he gave legitimacy to the right wing by doing so, plus it made him look weak. Huh? You and every leftwing were screaming.....healthcare, healthcare, healthcare. Now you're telling us you didn't really mean it???!!!And Obama lost his chance to spend enough money on job creation. He misplayed his hand, IMO. Now just a few months out from the election people have only one thing on their mind. Jobs and the economy. they are not thinking about health care any more than they were when Obama was elected; and they have forgotten what bush did, and all they know, is that we are in a depression and will blame the nearest person around. Please.....next time, vote for the other guy. If you are what constitutes a loyal leftie, I am jumping ship. And while you're at it, go over the poll you posted to me and the poll I posted to you. In neither, does it suggest the American people wanted a more leftie president. Independents are disappointed....unfairly in my mind......because he didn't breach the gulf between Rs and Dems, and NOT because Obama is not liberal enough. Seriously, koan, I hope you are not typical of the left.
