>>1. With Bush, prevented or at least delayed the Bush Global Depression.<<

clinton started the credit bubble mania, but bush *really* sent it sky high - so i'll blame bush the most here.

it is delayed - and will be worse than it would've been had we already taken our medicine.

>>2. Got health care reform passed.<<

what he did was allow the health insurance companies to write a bill and force americans to buy whatever they wanted to sell at whatever price they want to sell it.

obama took the public option off the table before negotiations even started.

not good.

and since we mathematically won't receive social security or medicare much longer, my guess is any health care subsidies disappear, too.

in short, he did nothing but allow insurance companies and their corporate owners to r*pe americans blind.

>>3. Got financial regulation passed.<<

which is basically worthless as it didn't address TBTF and the most toxic derivatives, let alone the WMDebt nature of the system.

the banks are still allowed to commit securities FRAUD by not carrying their assets at market value rendering their financial statements as fraudulent.

>>Need more than that?<<

i sure hope he would just here - yes! enough damage has been done, but now he wants his carbon tax paid to the very bankers that destroyed the world's economy!

>>It's enough for me to be well pleased, even though none were done as I would have done them, or, as sweeping as I would have had them be.<<

you are easy to please - the kind of person who doesn't mind being pushed out of the airplane without a parachute b/c you can enjoy the view on the way down.
