Jim, it was the other way around when Derek came back to L.A. Left money on the table in pursuit of championships. He already has the rings now. He doesn't need to go to Miami except for the money. Besides, the "Big Three Egos" are going to hog the spotlight anyway. Better to retire as a Laker, especially at his age. Besides, Kobe wants him to stay and Phil is coaching for one more year. Plus it's an opportunity to humiliate the Miami Heaters. By the way, with the way Lebron and the Miami Hate has been overdoing the hype, anything less than a championship next year will be a severe letdown. Pride cometh before a fall.
