"Palin Responds to NAACP Resolution [Daniel Foster]

From Sarah Palin's Facebook:

The Charge of Racism: It's Time to Bury the Divisive Politics of the Past

I am saddened by the NAACP's claim that patriotic Americans who stand up for the United States of America's Constitutional rights are somehow "racists." The charge that Tea Party Americans judge people by the color of their skin is false, appalling, and is a regressive and diversionary tactic to change the subject at hand.

President Reagan called America's past racism "a legacy of evil" against which we have seen the long struggle of minority citizens for equal rights. He condemned any sort of racism, as all good and decent people do today. He also called it a "point of pride for all Americans" that as a nation, we have successfully struggled to overcome this evil. Reagan rightly declared that "there is no room for racism, anti-Semitism, or other forms of ethnic and racial hatred in this country," and he warned that we must never go back to the racism of our past.

His words rang especially true in the immediate aftermath of the 2008 presidential election. It seemed that with the election of our first black president, our country had become a new "post-racial" society. As one writer in the Washington Post stated: "[Barack Obama's] election isn't just about a black president. It's about a new America. The days of confrontational identity politics have come to an end."

We, as a united people, applauded that sentiment. We were proud of that progress. That's why it is so sad to see that 18 months later, the NAACP is once again using the divisive language of the past to unfairly accuse the Tea Party movement of harboring "racist elements.""

Liberal Racism

By Robin of Berkeley
American Thinker

The Berkeley/Oakland area was on high alert last week...but not because of a natural disaster, like an earthquake.

A jury was deciding the fate of a white police officer charged with killing a black male at a BART station. People all around town began preparing for riots, certain that if the verdict was "not guilty," the streets would erupt with violence.

The police officer was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, a lesser charge than many hoped for, but still a prison sentence of years. The first night after the verdict, 83 people were arrested, which, as riots go, is pretty tame. Looters, however, made out like bandits.

In a sense, a bullet was dodged, but there has already been a huge cost. All week, employers were developing strategies for if there were mayhem. Public events were canceled.

What no one is doing is this: stating emphatically that riots are inexcusable, no matter what the verdict.

In fact, the opposite is occurring. The brainwashed masses are making excuses.

This is not the first time that riots have occurred relative to this incident. Mobs have already broken windows, looted stores, beat people up, and destroyed cars. The attitude then, as well as now, is that "we" have a right to riot.

Why? Why do certain groups have a right to riot? And why do others make excuses when livelihoods are ruined, millions of dollars are wasted, and innocents are hurt?

My opinion? Liberal racism.

A colleague said this to me the other day. "That police officer should be found guilty. But if he's not, they have every a right to riot."

She was simply expressing the typical liberal view. But let's pick this apart.

If thousands of Jews or Chinese or white males looted stores and burned cars, would the public be so tolerant? I don't think so. Are we really talking tolerance here, or something else entirely -- a colonialist, superior attitude?

Put bluntly, when liberals say that "they" have a right to riot, what's the implication here? Is it that blacks are primitive, out-of-control Neanderthals? Those Jews, Chinese, and white males are expected to have self-control. No such expectations exist for designated victim groups like blacks and Latinos.

By treating blacks as a special class, liberals marginalize and infantilize. Liberals also set the bar insultingly low.

Obama and his handlers knew that white liberal guilt could be exploited to their advantage. They realized that Obama would be insulated from scrutiny.

But it's not just guilt; it's also a white feeling of superiority. Because you have to see yourself as on top to offer special treatment to those on bottom.

Obama has been the Teflon President because of the color of his skin. Liberals are giving him a free ride.

We see it every day when criticism of Obama evokes cries of racism. But who are the real racists here?

Are the racists those conservatives who hold everyone accountable to the same standards? Who believe that people should be judged by their character and their behavior, not their race, creed, or color?

Or are the racists those white liberals who treat Obama like some delicate flower? While liberals still eviscerate George W. Bush, any judgment of Obama is off limits.

It's not just whites who are enabling Obama by acting like his protectors. Blacks voted en masse for Obama. Sadly, what has he offered them?

From the start, it was obvious that Obama, though half-black, had never done anything for the black community. In Chicago, his actions hurt blacks.

Obama was a huge supporter of Tony Rezko, a notorious slumlord, now a felon. When Obama served in the state senate, black residents picketed Rezko's offices to protest their rat-infested, unheated apartments.

And what has Obama done to help blacks since he's been president? One of Obama's first actions as president was eliminating the DC school voucher program that offered poor black kids the chance for a better life.

Obama and the Democrats have created record debt and crushed the economy. A depressed economy hits minority groups especially hard.

And then there is Obama's push for amnesty for illegals. How is giving jobs to millions of illegals going to help blacks, who have unconscionably high unemployment rates?

But there is one perk Obama has afforded the black underclass -- the right to behave brutally. Obama's Justice Department dropped charges for those New Black Panthers who allegedly threatened and harassed people at election sites.

This encouragement to act out is deeply cynical and manipulative. It's designed to control racial minorities and promote social unrest.

Although Obama has only agitated, not uplifted, Americans, most liberals regard him as their icon. To them, Obama is the Great Black Hope.

Liberals handle Obama with kid gloves. In the meantime, they turn a blind eye to his dangerous policies, like flirting with radical Islam. Liberals make excuses for the plummeting economy, blaming their usual bogeyman: conservatives.

They refuse to see Obama without the rose-colored glasses. Why? Because when it comes to Obama, liberals see a black man deserving of special treatment.

Will the real racist please stand up?

Illegal aliens rape 14-year-old

By Don Surber on All

This is not an unusual story.

Seriously.

From My Fox Austin: “A pair of illegal immigrants raped a 14-year-old Texas girl at July 4th party in Texas, where the teen was later found sitting naked in a bathtub, police said. The victim told police that she went to an Independence Day party with her cousin in Horseshoe Bay, Tex., about 40 miles northwest of Austin, where she was left in a room with Anibal Escobar, 19, and Anael Martinez, 22, MyFoxAustin reported.”

Not unusual. Linked by Matt Drudge, but illegal aliens have been raping girls for years — usually Hispanic girls.

Via Michelle Malkin on May 24: “The KING 5 Investigators have learned that an illegal immigrant accused of raping a woman in Edmonds Sunday has been deported nine times. That’s much more than previously reported.”

Just here to make money to send home?

Try this. From the Herald on June 24: “A 35-year-old man, who is in this country illegally, received a 15-year no parole sentence after he admitted to a sexual relationship with his daughter that was caught on camera. The man’s wife set up a nanny camera in the bedroom of their York home to find out why her husband and daughter were acting unusually and it captured the pair engaged in oral sex, said 16th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Jennifer Colton. The man, who is not being named to protect the victim’s identity, has been in the country from Mexico for at least a couple years. The girl, who was 13 when the incident was captured on video in December, had been an unwilling participant in the abuse for two years, Colton said.”

From the Washington Examiner on June 6: “An illegal immigrant caught on video sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to exploiting a child to make child pornography. The arrest of 25-five-year-old Maynor Quintanilla-Leon occurred after someone found a videotape in a Hyattsville trash bin that showed Quintanilla-Leon sexually abusing a male child, according to charging documents. Quintanilla-Leon faces between 15 and 30 years in prison, and will be deported after he serves his time, prosecutors said.”

From the Reno Gazette-Journal on July 2: “A 23-year-old suspected illegal immigrant voluntarily went to the Reno Police Department on Thursday to be questioned about allegations he beat and tried to rape a child relative, police said. As they were arresting him following an interview, detectives found crystal methamphetamine and a drug pipe in his pocket, authorities said. Leon Martinez-Pena, unemployed, was booked Thursday night into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of attempted sexual assault of a child, open and gross lewdness, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, domestic violence, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials also placed on a hold on him.”

We have enough child molesters and meth heads already in this country. Deport them all and guard the border.

NAACP hearts klansman, hates a black man

Earlier, I mocked the NAACP’s praise of former Exalted Cyclops Robert C. Byrd. Incredibly, the NAACP press release called Byrd a champion of civil rights.

Byrd later expressed regrets for being a klansman and for opposing Civil Rights legislation in the 1960s.

Now comes this from Jim Hoft’s update of a previous post: The NAACP is condemning Kenneth Gladney for not being black enough.

Gladney was beat up by union thugs last summer for daring to oppose Obamacare.

Via Jim Hoft, the words of an NAACP spokesman: “Back in the day, we used to call someone like that, and I want to remind you, uh, when this incident occurred, I was really struck by a front page picture of this guy, which we called, a Negro, I mean that we call him a Negro in the fact that he works for not for our people but against our people. In the old days, we call him an Uncle Tom. I just gotta say that. Here it is, the day after a young brother, a young man, I didn’t mean to call him a brother, but on the front page of the Post Dispatch, ironically, he’s sitting in a wheelchair, being kissed on the forehead, by a European. Now just imagine that as a poster child picture, not working for our people.”

A European?

Not black enough?

Goodness. You wonder what Martin Luther King thinks of all this racism from a group that once was a force for the betterment of mankind.
