well, I've never advocated going long generic stocks. I don't think there's any way to predict what will happen there, though initially I'd expect the kneejerk reaction to be bullish. I certainly wouldn't want to be short, unless the bond market really gets hammered too.

I find the idea of gold going down with the dollar laughable, if the dollar is going down because the world starts worrying about sovereign risk. in fact, I think that's why gold has been rallying in all currencies. just because the relative value of each currency changes against each other, doesn't mean gold should go down.

I don't want to try and speak for Noland, so I will leave it at that. people should read it and take from it what they want.
