Novellus: Q2 Tops Ests By Eric Savitz Monday, July 12, 2010 ET blogs.barrons.com Novellus Systems (NVLS) systems posted better-than-expected Q2 results. prnewswire.com The semiconductor equipment company reported revenue of $321.4 million, up from $276.2 million in Q1 and $202.2 million a year ago, and above the Street at $312 million. Profits of 66 cents a share beat the Street by six cents. Bookings were $384.9 million, up from $321.4 million in Q1. Shipments were $332.1 million, up from $282.8 million in Q1. CEO Richard Hill said in a statement that the current upturn in semi demand is being fueled by “growth in a wide spectrum of electronics products.” He expects a “multi-year recovery” in semi equipment spending.
