You know, Cheeky. I don't know how long you've been at this, but I was thinking about the "good old days" last night. Not the good old days of Tech madness in 1999, but the good old days of gold and silver value investing in 2001-2003. I don't know if you followed it then, but there were a couple of stock picking contests in 2002 and 2003 on SI, and a lot of us were able to show spectacular gains (one pick a month). There's no question we got spoiled with all the easy profits for those three years or so. 2004-now has been a whole different ball game, but nothing stays the same, and let's hope another real bull comes along some day soon. But if there's no blood in this stone to squeeze, we just have to wait. Good markets made great traders for the most part. CD
