Consider having just a few smaller sizes 1/4 oz. 1/10 oz. for possible transactions during difficult period. With the smaller sizes you can pay for something without converting to currency first.

We can't expect to hand someone a one ounce coin and have them give us back a half ounce of gold in change for something that is worth about half an ounce of gold. Eventual, yes, but not during the difficult period with the good prices.

This also helps if the currency is being changed from old pesos to new pesos, and all the old pesos are withdrawn. This often produces sudden currency shortages.

Just my thoughts.
