Re "glass half-empty"

But disk drive 97% full.

I bought one of the first sub $1000 computers several months ago as a secondary computer, and now I find the 1 gig hard drive is 97% full. I wonder how many other people will have the same experience over the next year or so. This might clear out some of that nasty inventory accumulation.

As an investment I like Seagate because they are a survivor in a take-no-prisoners industry plus they have a ton of cash. This limits the downside. As always, though, in this industry, the upside is limited by waves of price competition. I had hoped after the Conner merger some of this might subside.

No way man. I'm not bummed out. I didn't have any money in SEG. Just got a little surprised when people here flamed me months ago for being a decent person and warning about these problems.

Happy Investing!
