Those are ugly facts alright. It's why I think the economy in it current shape is not sustainable. We have a parasite class that is sucking the marrow out of the bones of the masses. It's not sustainable. If the head kills the body, then the head dies too.

The rich have been sucking the marrow out of this country since 1980 when the Republican era started. We were fooled and played with......we were told the poor on welfare or in institutions was the problem; the rich our saviors. You want to help the economy........cut taxes to the rich......they don't have to carry their fair share because they love this country and will do their part to make the economy grow. Before RR, there were few homeless people.....then he closed down the institutions and let them into the streets........and now homelessness has become a lifestyle. We have whole programs devoted to the rich like the Real Housewives. The rich cavort and flaunt their wealth for the rest of us to envy. We have been told over and over again that small gov't and little taxes are good and possible inspite of the fact that we have grown to over 300 million people, 50 states and cover a land area of nearly 4 million square miles. And yet the Republican era insisted that the 13 colonies gov't should be the goal.....which is not fiscal responsibility but fiscal insanity In response CA and FLA cut their property taxes to the bone and now CA, the most prosperous state in the Union is on the verge of BK. And FLA ain't far behind. Its all crap......we were fed a long bill of goods while the rich got richer and the poor poorer.

So now, its 30 years later and this past decade was the worst for job and income growth. The Republican era came crashing to the ground and we are in deep dodo. Like I have said before, those of you who have gotten religion suddenly want it all changed. It ain't going to happen. Its going to take some time to undo 30 years of misdirection. Its just the way it is. I am sorry.

And let me add......many of those who think they have found religion still don't get it. The old addictions are still very strong and they are having trouble giving them up. So even though Obama has put the country on a new course too many are fighting him tooth and nail.......and that's slowing the recovery.

And now let me really freak everyone out........the form of capitalism currently practiced in this country is not the best. Its not preparing us for a global economy. It needs to be amended and improved. And that's going to be one hell of thing to pull off. Frankly, I don't think we have the cojones to pull it off.
