Ted, even I don't think someone should be on unemployment for 99 weeks!

Why?

On the other hand, I don't think they should be cut off with nothing.

The average unemployment check is $293 per week or $12K per year. That is nothing......even if you are a single person trying to live on that.

Because I think the jobs not only aren't coming back, but unemployment will continue to increase, we need a way to help these people OTHER than unemployment.

They are coming back. I am sick and tired of you negative wingers complaining all the time. If you are this unhappy, see a shrink.

I think Obama should revive FDR's WPA. Give the unemployed a choice at the end of 6 months of unemployment, join the WPA or you're on your own.

Why? Unemployment is not going up

There's certainly no lack of infrastructure jobs that they could be put to work at. They'd have to relocate, get three hots and a cot in a WPA camp, and earn minimum wage, which could all be sent back to their families.

Something to think about if things get worse.
