OSO you have a point about the fact that this was "stale" news that the Street missed uptil today. I agree wholeheartedly. Still the Street is panicky and any excuse = sell. RE: buying, none yet. 0-margin life is my kind of life in this kind of market - no fretting about every little move. RE: LSI, unless I assess the company's prospects better, the only way I'll commit large amounts of cash is if they give the company away! ;-) I'll have to decide if and when - but the $18 - $19 (or below) would be very nice. Heck in spite of all the negativity surrounding them they are solidly profitable and give them credit they relentlessly pursue R&D (even though it seems to have got out of hand cp. to sales).

The AMAT conference call should be revealing. Things still look too unsettled for me at this point. So I'll just wait.
