Fairchild was known for flashy, flamboyant behavior back then. I have to believe Wilf is different at LSI. The one exec you always hear of being flamboyant and extragavant is Gerry Sanders of AMD. This guy commutes to Sunnyvale from Bel Aire, and I've heard has a Mercedes Benz company car. If you want prudent and penny pinching, buy INTC. No-one, not even Andy Grove, flies first class on company business unless they pay the difference between first class and coach out of their own pocket. Ciao, Tony
