INTC reaction to blow out earnings: Gap open well about the strong close. Stock closed about yesterday's high but closes towards the low of today.

That confirms the view that great earnings are already build into the stocks for this quarter. Despite the good forward guidance traders are still cautious. I expect INTC to lead the next rally when tech participates.

Interesting to compare INTC to ADTN as less followed company.
It set a new high and closed towards the high of the day. It also had good forward guidance. As mentioned in a previous post, ADTN tends to be a good indication of the demand for network services for corporate clients. It looks like some companies are expecting growth. It could also mean a transition of business models for some companies that require network access. I have not seen an article indicate more telecommute or more growth in internet companies though. So what is the driver???

HI Harry:

The NYSE AND COMP BP's are still firmly in O's. Unless something dramatic is happening I would assume the downtrend continues within the next couple of weeks.

Can still have relief rally if the BP well capping is successful.
