Balancing income would stimulate the economy and, additionally, an America with its income distribution spread more evenly would be a healthier, more vibrant and happier America . . .

Obviously, it would increase demand which would lead corporate America to produce more, which would lead to more jobs, which would lead to more demand. And so on.

There is that wonderful Henry Ford quote, who would have thought it, when asked why he paid his assembly workers more than most other comparable workers in Detroit. His answer, so the reports went, was that he did so in order to sell his cars.
