Well, for example a bank that washes off some toxic turd, legallly, the week before earnings, and then somehow owns it again as the next quarter starts (and I really don't understand how they do this precisely) is an example of something <not real>

Real means actual demand pull from consumption and on a broad and sustainable trend. Organic stuff.

Here is what I know this second.

-Gold is good, regardless of what happens near term.
-Long equities is nothing short of rolling dice, that are perhaps loaded.
-Deflation is the bigger monster but printing ink is cheap.
-Bonds are telling me the equity rally is bullshit.
-US Cash is losing value right now (and I hold more than I would prefer)

Here is what I don't know

-Everything else (a big list, roughly the size of the universe and expanding by the second)
