Misinformation sells npr.org Why negative campaigning works so well. Only a well developed mind can discern nonsense and make corrections in information. A mind trained to look for better information (like scientists are) can more easily drop old ideas when new ideas are discovered. It sure gives the criminals and nut jobs in the right wing a huge advantage over we liberals who disdain dishonesty. The right wing usually wins elections with lies, well and stupidity. Ironic.
