COPY - Copytele is a perennial short subject (excuse the pun). It has been reviled for at least a decade as a (supply own derogative) piece of (supply own insulting noun). This is a stock that recently split at $18.

It is now falling at a very satisfactory rate of speed, and is currently selling for $4. Some people on the COPY thread say that you can't make much money shorting a $4 stock, but of course the people who say that should review their 6th grade math notes. If a stock is shorted at $4, it goes to $2, you have made 50%.

COPY has been around for 14+ years, never had 1 red cent in sales or licensing revenue, has a book value of $20 Mil and a Market value greater than $220 Mil. They don't have a prayer of ever coming out with a product.

If you're interested in getting some of that $220 Mil, IMHO Nows The Time. It's easy to borrow, there are almost 50 Million shares in the float (no short squeeze here).

This is an opportunity to be a part of history, "The End of Copytele", one of the most peculiar story stocks of the Great Bull Market at the end of the 20th Century.

Roger: now.

OK, to be less cryptic, look at that MACD crossover on CTXS. Good for 10 points, down to the 50ma, anyway.

I will be watching the semi equipment stocks next week, to see if they start breaking their 200mas. If they do, INTC could follow.

I'd promised myself I would just stay out of the market, but I've gone back to my daytrading roots. While I haven't been making huge profits, I've been making profits going long, ever since the "crash". I think it's because of my tendency to shoot winners fast, which usually isn't that great an idea. Sure worked for QNTM, TER, and CMOS this week! :)

But I do think it may be time to short now. We are teetering. I couldn't even find the guts to hold AAPL over the weekend.

Naw, I'm not predicting a crash or a bear market. Just saying that we are in a very precarious position, and I'm not willing to place a bet one way or the other here.
