Mr.Snyder, I agree with some of your points. Not the comment regarding PC world however.I think that was a low blow. I've been watching this co. since the mid nineties. If you can give me 4 or 5 companies which I can "take to the bank" for the next 10 years for long term capital appreciation and will perform better than QCOM for the next 10, then I'm all ears! I'll consider selling every share I have and move on, what do you think?

Jacob Snyder - GREAT post.
I also would like to say that I am tired of hearing over and over again that Qualcomm has disappointed and MISSED earnings quarter after quarter. That is just absolutely blatantly untruthful. Qualcomm may not be a growth stock but they have NOT missed their conservative earnings quotes. The media is just anti Qualcomm. And that certainly affects the stock price.

Also hopefully Q has bought back stock at June's low of 32 dollars.

But who knows - seems noone in San Diego is AWAKE! I am just thoroughly disgusted with their performance.

This post will likely bring a huge NEGATIVE response on why I just do NOT sell my shares and stop my whining. Whenever anyone else complains it is acceptable but not ME. I am beginning to get an inferiority complex. But I think alot more of you are in agreement with me. JMHO

>>Part of it isn't QCOM's fault: we are in a 10-year secular bear market, where valuations have fallen, so even increasing profits haven't meant increasing stock prices, for many companies.<<

During this secular bear market QCOM went from 12 to 56. Those believing they could time the ups and downs were left out.

New wireless tech moves into the masses in an agonizingly slow pace, until a certain point of accelerated growth. Management has not been all it could be, but it does have QCOM well positioned with good, competitive products for this next cycle.
