The $2.7 BILLION is more government money going for "renewable" electricity production. Why would those evil Cheney lobbyists working behind closed doors spend money on that?

$1.3 billion for alternative motor vehicles and fuels (bioethanol, biomethane, liquified natural gas, propane)
.....
note half are subsidies for fossil fuel

It doesn's say half the $1.3 billion will go for fossil fuel. It does say LNG and propane vehicles qualify .... however there aren't too many of those .... there is a LOT more bioethanol used to fuel vehicles. So its very unlikely half of the $1.3 billion went for fossil fuels.

$2.7 billion to extend the renewable electricity production credit
$1.3 billion for conservation and energy efficiency
$1.3 billion for alternative motor vehicles and fuels (bioethanol, biomethane, liquified natural gas, propane)
$500 million Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBS) for government agencies for renewable energy projects.
