If Obama were really "on top of the BP situation" he would have called together EVERYONE he/they could think of that might be able to solve the problem, including engineers that work with aircraft systems on a daily basis....

But instead it took nearly 3 months to come up with the ideas that might solve the problem....GOOD FOR JOE THE PLUMBER!!!

If this works, the US and BP owe the man something....Let's all pray it does work, and the man comes forward....
