Skeet, here's why I'm long gold:
1. crap paper fiat currencies are spinning out of control, we're entering sovereign debt defaults....this debt bomb can never be paid back and you know it.
2. war....they are leading us to war....in war all commodities skyrocket.
3. risk of devaluation along with default.
4. ben mugabe's mentor is....mugabe.
5. we're in terror 2010....watch out for a 911 size attack....too many innocent people around the globe have been killed and the survivors seek revenge.
6. stocks are losers....they are at 1998 levels....this is a 1930 style con sucker rally....with everything papered over....snakes and their snake-oil are everywhere IMO.
7. no one even owns gold yet....you can view this in the charts....the equivalent 1980 price is about $5000/oz..
8. at some point....china will exchange dollars for gold, IMO.
9. stocks are trash, savings accounts are trash, real estate is trash....there is no place to protect your wealth....I'm long gold and hedged with shorts....bring on the collapse.
10. elites are getting out of clownbucks and into gold, word is, they have escape plans, and the end game is devalue. celente has heard from folks all over the world....and they tell him.....this is the plan....maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
Gold could go lower short term....but your bank account can go to "0" too.
Gold will always be worth something.
;-)
Just my opinion.

And, Skeet....Celente and Faber agree on this one. After the bailout bubble explodes....they will take us to war.
They are emboldened by their failures....and take on even more risk with each bust.
To distarct everyone from the greatest depression....they will take us to war.
The war drums are beating with Iran.
This would be WWIII with WMD's.
TSWHTF.
Iran in no Iraq.
They have the money and the power to hit us here in the U.S..
Not to mention....the Straits of Hormus would be blocked.
Got no food? no gasoline?
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
