You'll need a transcript and a towel as he spits and sputters his way through his lies. He sounds like Yosemite Sam (or is that Elmer Fudd) on cheap wine.

In 2004 when George Bush ordered them to increase the number of mortgages to over 50 percent that they bought from lower income people, I objected. I said that was bad for them and bad for the buyers of the mortgages.

I know with regard to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2003, because I thought they were doing a good job in rental housing I didn’t want to restrain them. Once they went into, at George Bush’s insistence, excessive home mortgage loans for people, I changed my position.

And Barney also talks about nationalizing, I mean buying stock, in smaller banks.......

Probably would be a good idea to save a copy of the transcript before Central Planning has it pulled.

How come the Gulf states didn't set up a contingency to help their people for just such an emergency, using oil royalties as a funding source?

"I'm happy the well is shut off, that there's a light at the end of the tunnel," said Tony Kennon, mayor of hard-hit Orange Beach, Ala. But "I'm watching people moving away, people losing their jobs, everything they've got. How can I be that happy when that's happening to my neighbor?""
