All, I have tried doing this and you have to worry about symbol naming problems as well as others. The only way I know how to do this is using the downloader with metastock 6.0. Why?? The directories on the CD have more than 255 entries so all the other available metastock converters like chart util from wallstreet software won't handle it. You can use the ms downloader to merge the data from the QP and the CD but it is limited to only processing 1 security at a time and not very fast. I abandoned this technique for all but a few favorite stocks and indices which I always look at regardless of what I'm buying. One part of the ms downloader that is interesting to play with is the data integrity checks. Sean
